Where will you work as a Product Certification Engineer?

The Engine Division supplies high-quality diesel and gas engines and generator sets for maritime, construction, industrial, agricultural, and power plant applications. The Turbocharger Division produces turbochargers for the European automotive industry.
MTEE’s turbochargers and engines are of high quality. All top European car brands equip their engines with our turbochargers. Our maritime engines meet and exceed the strict requirements of global ship inspections. In this role, you will be part of the Engine Division.
Function
Your challenge as a Product Certification Engineer
As a Product Certification Engineer, you are responsible for the creation and management of all documentation related to the certification of Engines. This includes requesting technical information from suppliers, preparing documents and drawings for approvals, and maintaining and archiving certificates. In cases where documents are missing, you provide solutions, and during the certification process, you guide the surveyors. To ensure precision, you stay informed about all developments and new regulations in the field of certifications and standards.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Close collaboration with all affiliated classification societies;
- Generating necessary documents based on provided input forms and data;
- Signing documents yourself (test protocols, etc.) and obtaining signatures from surveyors;
- Submitting documents to classification societies and following up to expedite processing;
- Addressing inquiries from customers (distributors/dealers) regarding certification status;
- Processing stamped documents such as test protocols, checklists, certificates, etc.;
- Acting as an internal surveyor during class approved factory inspections.

As a Product Certification Engineer, you hold a dynamic role involving various documents and legal regulations. Therefore, you possess an eye for detail and are analytically and communicatively skilled. Additionally, you have a high level of organizational awareness and are customer- and service-oriented.
Furthermore, you have:
- A completed hbo-degree in technical business administration, mechanical engineering, or a completed mbo-4 degree, supplemented with relevant work experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
