Where will you be working as a Project Quality Engineer?
MTEE, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in Japan, is based in Almere and comprises two divisions: Engine & Energy and Turbocharger. The Engine division specializes in the engineering and sales of gas and diesel engines, along with generator sets. Additionally, MTEE is a global leader in turbochargers for the automotive industry and is the only company in the Netherlands that develops and produces its own turbochargers. Our involvement in every stage of the turbocharger development process sets us apart.
As a Project Quality Engineer, you will join the Turbocharger division of MTEE, contributing to our ongoing success in this field.

What is your challenge as a Project Quality Engineer?
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and managing relationships with various customers. You will engage in a wide range of quality activities from project acquisition through to series production, acting as a proactive professional who collaborates closely with exclusive customers and serves as a key liaison between stakeholders.
You will be deeply involved in Advanced Product Quality Engineering (APQE) and the product release phase (Pepop), ensuring that customer requirements are met during the pre-SOP (Start of Production) and post-SOP phases.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Approving and validating new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Participating in technical reviews with customers and suppliers.
- Conducting internal and external audits during development and series production phases.
- Monitoring 8D reports and providing support in cases of escalation.
- Following up on improvement actions related to product and process quality.
- Leading quality-related activities in the change management request process.
Requirements
What do we expect from you?
- A bachelor’s degree (HBO or University) in technical or industrial engineering.
- Experience in project support and project-based working.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with the 8D problem-solving method.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Engineering (APQE).
- Knowledge of the product phases (Pepop, pre-SOP, and post-SOP) and their quality management requirements.
